There were 14
finishers today, on a very warm and sunny day. Welcome back to Cory who is
recovering from a broken wrist and also to Paul Blessington, Tony Oliffe and to
Tim Wright.
This weeks
winner was Rick Hatcher but Rick declined the prize leaving Rad the owner of a
Runners Shop voucher. It was agreed that the second prize would be held over to
next week.

A number of the joggers are
approaching milestones, including Colin Bridge on 49 runs, Grant Williams on
190, John Stewart on 293 and Chris Vincent on 348.
It is particularly
noteworthy that Rick Hatcher is now on 994 (after today’s run) and should do the
big 1,000 on 19 December. This is obviously very close to Christmas so all
agreed that we would celebrate 999 runs for Rick on 12 December 2003. (Rick has
given a sworn undertaking that he will subsequently complete run 1,000).
This will coincide with our
usual Christmas drinks and the end of our point score competition with wonderful
prizes. The Pointscore competition is still wide open so keep competing.
